Vajra Guru Mantra

OM AH HUNG VAJRA GURU PEMA SIDDHI HUNG

That is the Vajra Guru Mantra. There are various meanings to it when said a different number of times. Further explanation can be found here

In a Sanskrit context, the meanings are thus, ( I shall not claim that these meanings are final, they merely correspond to my personal understanding of the various terms)
Om (pranava) means “Will be” or “yes” and verily, it be the first sound in the Universe, the sound that started up the Chaos, and of Life.
Ah: An interjection without a meaning in the English language, but without it the meaning of the entire mantra would be lost.
Hung:may have come about from ‘hum’ which roughly corresponds to ‘am’ in English, or according to some scholars, is an interjection without a meaning.
Vajra: Thunderbolt and it can mean many things related to sharpness, power and clarity
Guru: Dispeller of darkness; usually refers to Guru Padma Sambhava, the originator of Mahayana Buddhism and Tantra
Pema: Lotus. Padma means Lotus as well. Initially, I thought it was Prema (spiritual love) but usually it would be explicitly mentioned.
Siddhi: Accomplishment,Success and a myriad of other important meanings.
Hung: may have come about from ‘hum’ which roughly corresponds to ‘am’ in English, or according to some scholars, is an interjection without a meaning.

I hope One can gain much from reciting this mantra numerous times, as it is a good method to sharpen our focus in completing our daily tasks.
